I did not test it on windows based PCs but it`s working great on mac so far Can anyone try this in Win based systems? With this way if Presonus find out to fix it inside of browser like they did for browse files ADD/DELETE/RENAME, it would be really easy to have this feature on next update1.

Create a '01 favorites' folder inside of VST directory2. Name it with 01 to show it on top of the browser3.

COPY your favorites plug-ins with their own folder (if exist) or only.vst.vst3 files4. Start your studio one and choice effects or instruments5. Click to folder tab to see your '01 Favorites' then VIOLA! Your favorites plug-ins and instruments right there.6. You can also give numbers on your folders to create a list outside of favorites. You can also temporary disable the plug-ins that you having problems with until next update so it won`t load on next startup. Move your problem vsts to disabled folder. Check the picture. This message was edited 1 time.

Create two folders Effects and Instruments anywhere you like. (I've created a Plug-Ins folder inside my Studio One folder as root for these folders.)2. Open the Plug-Ins folder in the Studio One Browser. If you like you can create a new tab for it.3. Drag an effects plug-in into Studio One and drag it back to the Effects folder.4. Drag an instrument plug-in into Studio One and drag it back to the Instruments folder.

This can be done either from the Instrument Rack of the Console or from the plug-in window (grab the plug-in name from the top of the window. This probably also works for effect plug-ins).Here's how it looks on my system:And another list where I organized some instrument plug-ins by category using a different folder structure:Edit: There's also a video available on YouTube by davidvignola where he shows you in detail how to do this (only for FX plug-ins, though):Edit: Added new screenshotThis message was edited 5 times.

Janusz GrzybekPresonicJoined: 08:22:05Messages: 367Location: Poland, ZabrzeOfflineHello,I've used similar solution for some time. I moved all presets for my VSTi and FX plug-ins to custom preset folder with subfolders. Next I created separated tabs in browser for FX and VSTI folders. It allows me:. Review all VSTi presets in one window and select/move to arranger most appropriated preset.

It saves my time, because I needn't load (first) instrument and next search preset. I can use any folder structure for categorize VST/presets in most useful (for me) way. I use 'Delays' sub-folder for storing all S1 and third party delay effects, etc. If I've more presets for selected plug-in I add next sub-folder for this plug-in, for example 'VSTi'- 'Synths' - 'Krystal'. CristofePresonificatorJoined: 21:10:44Messages: 3628Location: Skaneateles, NY USAOfflineI've done this for years myself. I've taken it even further.

My main folder is labeled VSTPlugins. In that folder all my fx plugins have subfolders by goup.amps & disto, modulation, dynamics, time machines,(with reverb & delay subfolders), channel strips, FSU.etc. Janusz GrzybekPresonicJoined: 08:22:05Messages: 367Location: Poland, ZabrzeOfflineHmm. It depends on plug-ins. Generally, plug-ins use two method of authorization (on Windows, I don't know how it works on Mac):- license info is saved to registry- license key is saved to plug-in directory or plug-in data directory. In most cases moving folder shouldn't miss authorization. However, some more advanced plug-ins (e.g. Native Instruments) save also plug-in paths to registry. In this case you could lost authorization data or some functionality after moving.

If this happen you need re-authorize/re-install plug-in or manually change incorrect (old) plug-in paths in registry.JanuszThis message was edited 1 time.
